We at The Web Guys are proud to announce the introduction of a new program to give back to some of the charities most near and dear to our hearts. With success comes the opportunity to share with others and make a difference to those who need it most. We’ve chosen four non-profit organizations so far that touch all of our hearts.
1. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
The first not-for-profit institution we’ve chosen to contribute towards is St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Its mission is to advance cures and prevention of catastrophic diseases for children. No child is denied treatment based on financial standing, race, or religion. Families never receive a bill for treatment from St. Jude because of generous donations. Every dollar matters and makes an impact on the success of this incredible organization. We’re honored to know that our dollars are aiding in cancer research and treatment for families in need.
2. Safe Families
Safe Families is a volunteer movement that keeps children out of foster care by creating a safe and caring environment for them to stay in during times of crisis or need. Children of at-risk families are hosted at a volunteer home for an average of 6 weeks. Most children cared for are less than 6 years of age, but children of all ages through young adult are eligible for the program. This allows the parent(s) to get back on their feet while knowing their child can be in a caring and safe environment. There are many ways to get involved whether you want to be a host family, a family coach, or get an entire church involved.
3. Alzheimer’s Association
The Alzheimer’s Association works on global, national, and local levels to enhance care and support for all affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias. Locally you can find support groups, educational sessions, or even a sponsored Walk to End Alzheimer’s®. The association also is the largest non-profit funder of Alzheimer’s research to globally help accelerate the progress of new treatments and ultimately cure the disease.
4. HVAF of Indiana
The Hoosier Veterans Assistance Foundation (HVAF) helps homeless veterans return to self-sufficiency and assists those at risk to prevent them from becoming homeless. The foundation provides housing, case management, and essential products to the veterans in need. As stated by HVAF of Indiana, “Last year, 2,259 veterans had a safe place to sleep, and 1,205 family members including 554 children received the counseling and guidance they needed to help them become self-sufficient.” Find out how you can take action today.
Continued Giving
While we continue to grow as an organization, our family of sponsored non-profits will grow as well. This motivates us as employees to work harder, and we hope our clients recognize that their continued partnership with us is also benefiting those in need.
As we celebrate our wins in additional clients and continued business with existing clients, we are also celebrating the ability to make a bigger difference to these wonderful causes.
