The Internet never sleeps, which means our work at The Web Guys is never really “done,” but we still like to hit pause every once in a while to reflect on our accomplishments — and recharge our batteries. So here’s where things stand as of fall 2015:
A New Addition
We never get tired of hearing kudos from businesses that trust us to design killer websites and lead their ongoing digital marketing efforts, but it’s particularly rewarding when those accomplishments allow us to grow our team. This week, we did just that, welcoming Danny Moore as TWG’s newest Client Success Advisor.
Danny is an Indiana University graduate who worked at a social media startup in San Diego for a couple of years, building online communities for the likes of Lady Gaga and Nike before returning to the Hoosier state to raise a family. He and his wife, Lara, live in Fishers with their 18-month-old daughter Eliza.
Most recently employed at student-loan servicing company Navient, Danny also has worked as an emergency medical technician (which helped him rule out a career in medicine) as well as in sales.
When he’s not in the office or hanging out with his family — assembling LEGO sets is his go-to activity for relaxation — he’s probably recording himself playing video games for his YouTube channel. As jDantastic, Danny has more than 24,000 YouTube subscribers, and his mostly anime game uploads have accumulated 4.2 million views since 2011. (He recently launched a second channel, called jPlays Games, to try some other genres.)
A self-described “huge nerd,” Danny fits right in at The Web Guys. He’s excited for the chance to help clients build their social presence, attracting more followers and generating stronger returns in the process.
And the good news continues: We’re also looking for a Web Design Project Manager to join The Web Guys. Check out the job posting and apply online.
Carving Out Time for Fun
Unfortunately for Danny, he just missed our fall outing to Tuttle Orchards, a fourth-generation family farm just outside Indianapolis. We skipped out a little early on a recent Thursday afternoon for an agri-adventure that included everything from a hayride and a corn maze to pumpkin picking and apple eating — plus plenty of farm-fresh goodies.
In addition to being a nice break from our routine, the excursion was educational! We learned about the apple-ripening process and a widespread pumpkin shortage (and how Canadian farmers helped fill the void), but the most valuable lessons were about ourselves.
It turns out Client Success Manager Chad Smith can balance pumpkins on his head and President Roger Laurendeau can juggle! Suddenly, any questions about entertainment at the company holiday party have been answered.
Check out all the photos from our outing on TWG’s Facebook page — including an excellent (and thankfully spit-free) photobomb from the animal world. While you’re there, be sure to “like” The Web Guys to see our updates in your timeline.
Now we are rested, refreshed, and ready to help you find success online. Contact The Web Guys at (317) 805-4933 today to get started.
