As part of your services with The Web Guys, we renew your domain on your behalf and retroactively ask for reimbursement. At no point would you be responsible for renewing your domain on your own. It has been brought to our attention that some of our clients have received a piece of a mail from a company called DNS Services. This mail is prompting you to submit payment to “renew” your domain. An example of this letter can be seen below. Though this appears to be a real invoice, this letter is a scam. Further down the letter from DNS Services, there is a statement that says: “This is a solicitation for the order of good or services, or both, and not a bill, invoice, or statement of account due. Google recently rolled out several updates to their Google Places‘ local listings. Google Places is now known as Google+ Local. A new name wasn’t the only change Google made, the recent update also affects the way your customers write reviews on your own local listing.
